Dejan N. Milic was born in Nis, Serbia in 1972. He received Dipl.-Ing., Mag.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees  in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, Serbia, in 1997, 2001 and 2005, respectively.

He currently holds a full professor position at the Department of Telecommunications at the same Faculty, and there he teaches optical communications and coherent communication systems. Other ares of his research include communication theory, modulation and wireless communi9cations.
